Tango Siempre - Our musicians

Inspired by tango, jazz and contemporary music, Tango Siempre have developed their own unique and eclectic style of tango.

Tango Siempre features Pete Rosser (accordion), Ros Stephen (violin), Jonathan Taylor (piano) and Richard Pryce (double bass).Their repertoire includes the intoxicating rhythms and melodies of 1930’s Buenos Aires, the beautiful nuevo tango of Astor Piazzolla, powerful new works by members of the group, and innovative commissions from composers as diverse as Pablo Ziegler (pianist from Piazzolla’s quintet), Huw Warren (winner of Radio 3 Innovation in Jazz Award 2005) and Will Gregory (of Goldfrapp).

Tango Siempre have collaborated with internationally renowned artists including:

the London Mozart Players,
virtuoso bandoneonist Victor Villena (of Gotan Project),
saxophonist Gilad Atzmon (winner of a BBC jazz award),
drummer/remixer Steve Arguelles
and Diversions Dance.

Tango Siempre have received funding from ACE and the PRSF New Works Scheme, and in 2005 they received a PRSF Performance Groups Award. Two of their albums are distributed internationally by ARC Music Productions Ltd. Their new album featuring Steve Arguelles and Gilad Atzmon will be released in Autumn 2006.
