A journey into the heart of tango with
Tiempo de Tango's powerful new show Romance D'Carnaval

Myriam Ojeda-Patiño leads a powerful performance of passionate tango, poetic theatre, stunning video installations and music in a new Tiempo de Tango production, to create a compelling story which explores the roots and virtuosity of tango.
A modern Argentinian girl, exiled from Buenos Aires in the 1970's, returns to find through her grandfather's papers, tragedy, passion and the secret to her own identity, set against the social and political turmoil of 20 th century Argentina, the barrios and the Golden Age of Argentina's carnival.
Performed by Tiempo de Tango's ten extraordinary Latin American tango dancers, the show builds on their outstandingly successful 2004 tour.
Featuring stunning award-winning costume designers and UK's leading tango ensemble, Tango Siempre, Romance D'Carnaval is an orginal narrative developed with Sladjana Vujovic, the renowned fringe theatre director and playwright and promises to take every member of the audience on a moving journey into the heart of tango.
The production is touring nationwide, starting at the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth from 11th October. |
